California regulator cautions crypto websites suspected of fraud.

In June, the DFPI warned about 26 shady crypto platforms.

TeleTrade Options, Tahoe Digital Exchange, and Tony Alin Trading Firm are included.

Two crypto clone sites, eth-Wintermute.net and UniSwap LLC, also exist.

As of Dec. 27, the DFPI's consumer alert page has 17 warnings.

Dec. 28 that these companies “appear to be involved in fraud against California consumers.”

The DFPI rarely posts so many alerts at once, suggesting a rise in crypto fraud reports in the latter part of the year.

The DFPI occasionally warns about company investigations or events.
